The Opportunity:

As a Personal Lines Sales Manager you will advise customers on Home and Auto Insurance and lead a team of Personal Lines Advisors. The team is located in our Whitby and Toronto offices.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead by example, providing outstanding service to customers and prospects located in multiple jurisdictions across Canada.
Participate in handling in-bound sales and service calls, and pro-active outbound activity.
Act as a knowledge resource for the sales brokers on your team, providing advice and guidance on quoting, coverage, closing sales, insurance company rules, and how to communicate insurance issues effectively with clients.
Train new team members, and coach existing team members to achieve great results.
Take over or assist with any complex coverage situations that require advanced insurance knowledge.
Review completed customer transactions for accuracy & completeness of information and process, provide coaching and feedback to team members.
Ensure that sales, service, and administrative functions are all being performed correctly and efficiently.
Provide people leadership to the team, including all aspects of HR, performance reviews, training, and coaching.
Manage relationships with insurance company partners, including training & updates on company portals, products, and underwriting problem resolution.
Liaise with our business partners, ensuring that branding and service level goals are being met or exceeded.
Resolution of any customer complaints escalated from brokers.
Report to Management on operations, support & supervise new initiatives, take direction from management.
Lead and coordinate brokerage marketing efforts as directed by management from time-to-time within scope and budget of pre-defined objectives.
Other administrative and insurance broker duties as outlined by Management

Your Experience and Qualifications Needed:

RIBO licensed with expertise in Personal Lines Insurance
Minimum seven years experience as a licensed broker in a customer facing, Personal Lines role
Previous management/leadership experience
CAIB or CIP designation preferred
Positive relationships with underwriters
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, EPIC and Applied rating Services necessary.
Good working knowledge of insurance company portals
Understanding of service workflows and front line underwriting
Able to make quick confident decisions
High degree of professionalism and integrity
Effective time management and prioritization skills, with demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
Problem solving skills
Ability to close sales by building rapport with prospects, identifying and meeting their needs.
Superior communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, skilled user of Microsoft Office suite of products
Will be working at both locations, Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 9pm
