The Fraud Analytics team partners with the business to capture expected revenue. The team works with stakeholders to quantify the revenue risks, perform an end-to-end process review, and put controls in place to manage the risk

This is a 15-18 month contract.

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

As a security analyst II for the fraud analytics team you will work with senior fraud team members, business and technical primes and vendors to ensure the continuous improvement of existing fraud analytics tools and development of new tools. You will also work with the analyst team to track and improve the effectiveness of fraud prevention/detection rules in fraud detection systems and, the authentication processes within all front end activation channels. This opportunity will allow you to make a difference in protecting the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of TELUS services, information, and other assets.

Here's how
Expert in your field:
Technical prime for all fraud tools and databases, ensuring continuous improvement of current tools and identification of new fraud tools and vendors
Identify and report to internal and external teams regarding current fraud trends
Identify gaps between current fraud controls and new fraud trend to mitigate further fraud risks exposures
Proactively review and create fraud requirements for the processes on existing and new products
Tune and Maintain fraud rules on fraud detection systems and client billing systems
Technology Savvy Problem-Solver:
Resolve problems that are diverse and complex and frequently involve new issues that may not have been encountered previously;
Investigate stabilization, ticket driving issues and suggest/deploy solutions

Qualifications

You're the missing piece of the puzzle
Known for your understanding and expertise of billing systems, call usage, existing authentication processes during activation/renewal and how it relates to the Fraudulent Activity
Respected for your ability to navigate Oracle databases and manage data lake technologies
Familiarity with various telecommunication technologies
Successful track record of 3 or more years in related role within the security field
With a knack for assessing and analyzing business needs and transforming them into workable business and technical requirements
Commended for your high level of self-motivation and accountability on technical projects in a competitive environment
Appreciated for your continued efforts towards honing your information security technical subject matter expertise
Acknowledged for your comfort and ease dealing with ambiguity and complex issues and concepts demonstrating your leadership, problem solving, negotiation, and analytical skills
Known for your collaborative spirit and ability to maintain strong relationships in a cross-functional team environment to establish Technology Standards
Committed to continuous personal development to maintain and enhance technical security knowledge
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Great-to-haves
Hold one or more security or other applicable certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CFE
Bilingual in English and French a strong asset
