Mutual Funds Sales is not only responsible for facilitating the sale of mutual funds to our Clients, but is also charged with educating the customer on their various mutual fund options. Whether you're looking to invest in the Tangerine Investment Fund, set-up an ASP on your mutual fund account or update your investor profile, our friendly and knowledgeable Mutual Funds Associates will be happy to assist you.
Mutual Funds Operations is responsible for all of the processing as well as the reconciliation of Mutual Fund trades. Whether funds need to be transferred from other financial institutions or trades need to be settled, our dedicated Operations Associates are hard at work to process all the mutual fund-related transactions.
The Investment Funds Advisor - iBOB, is responsible for delivering exceptional investment advice and servicing clients, in the spirit of the Investments team mission to Coach, Educate and Enable Canadians to become better investors. The Investment Funds Advisor - iBOB, will primarily engage Clients and prospects via the inbound, E-services channels which include email, chat and social media and outbound phone channel with a focus to acquire new Clients and identify client growth opportunities leading to additional inflows to Tangerine investments. The role will require the Investment Funds Advisor - iBOB to handle a high volume of client contact and activity, taking ownership in resolving complex issues, outbound call- out campaigns, retention strategies, building strong business relationships by offering financial recommendations and solutions in the best interest of the client. They will report directly to the Manager of Tangerine Investments.
Assess Clients’ financial situations and fit for mutual funds using probing questions and exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Simplify and explain investment strategies using language and analogies that make investing concepts easier to understand.
Coach Clients to adopt sound investor behaviours and habits that will position them to have long-term success with their investments.
Educate Clients on the fundamentals of our products with the intention of raising their overall investor IQ.
Enable Clients to take control of their investments by providing them a tailored recommendation suited to their needs.
Empower Clients to use online self-serve tools to assist with planning and goal setting.
Recommend other Tangerine products that are well suited to the Clients identified needs.
Assist Clients with trade requests and account maintenance needs and execute with high accuracy.
Meet monthly productivity, sales and quality targets.
Take ownership of unique and complex Client situations and liaise as required with internal stakeholders to bring the situation(s) to resolution.
For outbound campaigns, take ownership of Client segments and self-manage execution of contact attempts meeting key efficiency, sales and conversion targets.
Leverage existing tools to accurately track and trend individual campaign results.
Build and develop Client relationships as required to optimize sales and conversion efforts and effectively self-manage Client follow-up interactions, (via phone and email).
Maintain designation(s) to sell and provide advice for investment funds across all Canadian jurisdictions.
Adhere to the Tangerine Investment Funds Policy and Procedure manual and keep up to date with changes.
Apply principles of Know Your Client (KYC) in all customer interactions.
Has a clear understanding of the “Voice of Brand” and can translate that into verbal Client interactions.

Minimum High School Diploma
Minimum 2-3 years of work experience preferably in a retail/sales or customer service
Successful completion of IFIC (and/or CSC) required and conditional on being registered with the MFDA
Fluent in French and English required (verbal and written communication skills)
