IT Analyst and Technical Support

What will you do?

Monitoring system performance and maintaining computer systems and networks
Troubleshooting technical issues and provide root cause analysis
Deploy and perform software installations & configurations
Perform testing and develop test cases for system quality evaluation
Provide customer and technical support (occasional handle phone support on a rotating basis during non-business hours)
Able to write documentation such as release notes, installation procedures, maintenance directives, change requests, test procedures and user’s documentation
Design and develop new computer systems and frameworks
Regular review of core business software and create reports on efficiencies or improvement areas
Collaborate with Project Leads and Software Engineers to successfully complete assigned projects and solutions
What will you need to succeed?
Bachelor of Computer Science or a diploma in Information System Technology (2-3 years program)
Customer Support experience – at least 2 years is an asset
Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills
Minimum 2 years of working experience with a variety of programing languages like Microsoft C# / C++ / VB, Java (Eclipse)
Database administration experience is an asset (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Access)
Knowledge of Software configuration and control
Excellent Technical Writing skills
Must be able to obtain a security clearance for some customer sites
Familiar with Quality Management System
Must be able to travel to customer sites occasionally
Must be able to travel to the US and Germany when required
P. Eng, PMP or related certificate is a great asset
Project management/administration knowledge and experience is an asset
Knowledge and experience with Automation and Real-Time Systems and concepts is an asset
Knowledge of PRTG Network or Nagios monitoring tools is an asset
Bilingual English/French will be an asset
